This is a very nice restaurant with great service and delicious food. Everything we ordered was delicious and full of flavor. Our server, Giovanni, was entertaining and extremely nice. We ordered off of the special menu. My wife had Rock Cod Parmesan crusted and I had the Seafood Trio. The bread that they serve is hot and fresh sourdough. The prices are a little on the high side, but it was worth the experience.

THIS WAS MY FIRST VISIT IN MANY MANY YEARS WHERE WE WERE NOT HANDED A RED LONG STEM ROSE AFTER DINNER. IT HAS BEEN CUSTOMARY FOR OVER 20 YEARS....... Missed the tradition.

Amazing food!!! It's definitely a favorite every time we come to Monterey

So, and we tried a lot of different places - this was the best restaurant on the old fisherman's wharf - from service to food ( especially ) not to say this is the Best seafood/ food I've had... but probably the best at this location . We had crab tower ( ) , calamari, garlic bread, artichokes/ all excellent!!!! It's a safe choice.

The food is so delicious and beautifully plated! The staff is amazing and always kept our drinks full! We will definitely be back!

Stopped by Old Fisherman's Grotto, known for their clam chowder! The wait was about an hour, so we put our name down and walked around the boardwalk. There are also benches nearby if you just want to sit and relax while you wait.

We got the famous clam chowder in the garlic bread bowl and the mushroom ricotta ravioli. Both were delicious! The chowder was creamy without being overly thick or starchy, and the garlic bread bowl made it even better. The ravioli had a generous amount of filling, and the tomato sauce paired really well with it.

The atmosphere is dark and cozy, great for date night, and we got lucky with a table near the window with a view of the water!

One thing to note: we asked for water and were brought bottled still water, which was $9 each. Didn't know until the bill came around ‍

Overall, a great experience and definitely a popular spot worth trying if you're in the area!

Out with relatives. Immediate seating with window seats. Wait crew was excellent. We shared the calamari and artichoke appetizer. I had clam chowder and the scallops. Strongly recommend. Mr. Shake, the owner, even came by and greeted us.
There's a reason this is our preferred restaurant on the wharf!

Beautiful ambiance with great views. Julius was fabulous! He suggested great recommendations that tasted delicious. He was very attentive and friendly. He made our first time here wonderful. The food is delicious. I can't wait to visit again
