This restaurant was a great surprise, always worry about high traffic tourist areas but this one is the exception. Wonderful bloody marys, oysters were out of this world and the clam chowder superb. Fish and chips okay but best part was french fries. Would definitely drive out of my way to go back

Delicious clam chowder with crab meat. Have to get the garlic bread bowl. Also I got a tiki drink that was lit on fire when they brought it out. I everything was delicious definitely recommend

Monterey, with its ocean-kissed breezes and sweeping coastal views, is home to many fine dining spots--but this one is an absolute must. Each visit here has been a masterclass in consistent excellence: warm hospitality, an inviting atmosphere, and plates that sing with the flavors of the sea. From our table, we enjoyed a postcard-perfect view of the Pacific, while our server, Ricardo, provided service so genuine and gracious it felt as though we were dining in a friend's home.

We began with the Trio Appetizer, a sampler that showcased the kitchen's finesse. The calamari was delicately crisp yet tender within, each bite imbued with flavor. The crab cake, luxuriously moist, captured the sweetness of fresh crab, while the accompanying grilled shrimp bore the telltale char of expert timing--smoky, succulent, and utterly satisfying.

The seafood linguine Isabella was the evening's showstopper: a creamy, buttery canvas layered with the essence of the ocean. Tender lobster, kissed with a subtle char, sat alongside velvety salmon that practically dissolved on the tongue with every bite. Each element harmonizing beautifully. The clam chowder--served with bread perfect for dipping--was rich, comforting, and among the top three I've ever tasted.

By the end of the meal, we were thoroughly content, our appetites wholly indulged, with no room left for dessert--a small sacrifice in the name of such abundance. This is the kind of dining experience that lingers in memory long after the last bite.

Bowl was great nice and fresh seafood too. Bread makes it a 4 not a 5. Nice mix in the seafood cup. Service outside was fast.

I couldn't have asked for a better experience to celebrate my birthday. The service was excellent, thanks to my waiter Pablo. He was quick, attentive, and gave awesome recommendations. He's the best! I was so impressed with the kindness of the staff and the delicious wine and food, it genuinely made my day!

Strolling through the wharf we landed on the grotto we wanted clam chowder bread bowls but wanted to sit indoors away from the sun. The clam chowder bowls were everything we expected and more! Added a lil hot sauce and it's divine! The outside bread nice and crispy and inside nice and soft. I will say the food came out fast but it did take a while to get the check. the kids got spaghetti and meatballs so everyone was happy!

Great environment great server great food i would recommend it. The steak was amazing. And the ultimate seafood pasta was killer.

It's all worth it! Waterfront view while eating. Fresh delicious fish. Amazing clam chowder and top notch service. My family was very pleased. We'll be back next trip to Monterey.

Voted best chowder 21 years in a row, I totally agree!! The drinks from the bar were really good as well.
